ABOUT THE HOST:
Dr. Maciej Bilski’s original research focus was on marinas and waterfront harbors, examining their city-building impact on the locations in which they are established. He is the author of several publications on this topic, including a monograph. His more recent research areas explore the intersection of psychology and architecture, as well as issues related to Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the architectural profession. This work has led to the establishment of an AI research studio at the Faculty of Architecture at Poznań University of Technology and collaboration with the Association of Polish Art Photographers as a member of their AI committee.
During his fourth year of architecture studies at the Academy of Fine Arts (now the University of the Arts), he founded his own design studio. Through this venture, his firm has undertaken diverse architectural, industrial design, and graphic projects. He earned his PhD in the design of waterfront structures at Cracow University of Technology and has completed over 200 architectural projects of varying scale and function.
Beyond academia, he is a Yacht and Motor Sea Captain, an ultralight aircraft pilot, and an instructor in kitesurfing and skiing.
