ANDREAS FRANKE (Austria)

Andreas Franke has been an active photographer for over 20 years. He is from Vienna. He worked for such brands as: Coca-Cola, Ford, Gillette, Heineken, Nike and Visa. He’s an enthusiast of travelling and scuba diving. He became popular thanks to the project called “The Sinking World” which he started from creating double series of photos taken underwater and which presented sunken ships, and then combined them with photos taken in a studio. “The Sinking World” was presented for the first time on board the USS Vandenberg, a bulky warship which sank in 2009. The first underwater exhibition was visited by 10,000 divers. Another exhibition was presented off the coast of the Caribbean island of Barbados, on board of the Stavronikita ship which is on the bottom of the ocean.
